Why spreads matter?

Spreads matter, especially for intraday traders and for scalpers. To be a successful trader, you need to monitor the spreads closely. Here's what 'High Spreads' and 'Low Spreads' are telling you.

High Spreads

When you see the difference between the bid and ask price is high, this is likely showing you that the market is experiencing low liquidity or high volatility. Non-major forex pairs often have a higher spread, compared to major forex pairs.
